Anna-Louise Allen opened Puggle Press Consulting in 1994 following the birth of her daughter Amelia.  From the day she was born, Amelia has listened to her mother proofread copy for environmental education books, marketing material destined to promote native timbers to Japan and annual reports on water, forests and soil management.  It is no wonder Amelia developed a strong interest in nature and animals.

When deciding on a name for her business Anna-Louise chose Puggle Press.  A puggle is a baby echidna.  This was very relevant given the amount of publishing and activity that Anna-Louise was involved in at that time.  Twenty years later, her clients and other people recognise the Puggle Press brand and style of writing. 

In 2011, after the end of her 22 year marriage, Anna-Louise commenced trading under ALG Consulting Pty Ltd.  Her audit arm of the business is A2 Auditing.  The services offered by ALG Consulting  reflect Anna-Louise's previous work. We can assist with compliance, writing policies and procedures to meet funding and registration requirement, professional development for trainers, assessors and administration and the development and validation of assessment tools

Anna-Louise also conducts audits of training organisations for the Victorian Qualifications and Registration Authority. This work is done via the Moore Stephens Consortium 

Prior to opening her business, Anna-Louise worked for four years as a contractor for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and was a vital part of a team responsible for state and national community awareness policy.  She works with people in a consultative and coach like manner and is still a teacher, despite having been away from the classroom for some time. 

Anna-Louise applies creative thinking to develop viable solutions to a wide range of problems and challenges in both her professional and personal life.  She is a powerhouse of energy who multi-tasks on a daily basis. She achieves tasks most people only think about. 

Writing is another passion; Anna-Louise has a long list of published articles, kits, textbooks, posters, training materials, technical manuals and policies and procedures.  She has also published a number of reflective pieces for the various interest groups within the disability sector.  Having worked in the industry as a trainer, her advice and recommendations are based on personal experiences. 

Anna-Louise has a special talent for walking in another's shoes.  She shows empathy and understanding in her consultancy, audit and advocacy roles.  Her audit clients often tell her she is the most helpful auditor they have ever encountered.  She speaks the language of her clients AND the bureaucrats. Upfront and honest, Anna-Louise won't be bullied or manipulated and she knows where to draw the line with people.
